Is love the absence of fear?
Or is it rather a full embrace of it all?
Not denying fear, but acknowledging it,
Witnessing it, loving it.
Fear can be a friend. Fear can be a teacher.
All can be a teacher, if we allow it.
Each obstacle, an invitation to return to the heart—
A matter of choice:
Choose again. Choose love.
Can we deepen our relationship with life?
Through a full embrace of its polarities.
Ebb and flow.
High and low.
Yin and Yang.
A dance with the dark.
A dance with the light.
Move with it all.
Tasting the richness of life—
Its sweetness. Its bitterness.
With all its aches, twists and turns,
Hold them gently in the heart,
Breathe in softness,
Breathe in care,
And know: there is beauty in all of it.
If we choose to see.
Whatever life might throw at you,
Feel it, be with it,
Bathe in the sea of your inner knowing,
And remember: you are love.
SUNNI-AI - DEEP LISTENING
I love this version of the mantra “Sunnai” and even more the meaning of it.
Sunni-ai can be translated as “deep listening.” It is written: “When we practice Sunni-ai, we are still. The answers to our deepest questions are revealed within us. It is an act of applied consciousness and alertness.”
The stillness and deep listening to life are mostly what inspire my writing. Daily observations and the drops of wisdom that flow through me when I sit down and engage with words eventually turn into poems.
I will leave you with a quote of Yogi Bhajan: "Listening with depth and purity can change your destiny. It is through Suniai that you connect with the inner voice, the guidance that leads you to your highest potential."
So let's be still, let’s listen more deeply and closely to life.
Love, Marina.
